Center for Continuing Education & Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) – Hellenic Open University

The Center for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (K.E.D.I.V.I.M.) of the Hellenic Open University was established by Ministerial Decision No. 20217/Z1/22-02-2021 (Government Gazette 818/B/02-03-2021). It is an independent unit of the institution based on the national and European institutional framework for lifelong learning. All activities of the University relating to training, continuing education, and lifelong learning in general must be carried out through the Center for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning of the Open University and governed by the rules set by the institutional framework, the Senate, and the Operating Regulations. K.E.D.I.V.I.M. may organize and implement non-formal education programs leading to the award of corresponding certificates, as well as any form of work related to lifelong learning.
Its operation is part of the overall strategy and educational policy of the Hellenic Open University. Through K.E.D.I.V.I.M., all non-formal education and informal learning activities are implemented and certified, including training, continuing professional development, retraining, skills upgrading, general adult education, counseling, career guidance, and lifelong learning in general, based on the national and European institutional framework for lifelong learning. The educational and training programs lead to the award of corresponding non-formal education certificates, in accordance with the provisions in force, and may also be implemented in collaboration with Greek universities or research centers, as well as recognized as equivalent institutions abroad, by decision of the Senate, following a recommendation by the K.E.D.I.V.I.M. Council.
