The BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen is the hub between learners, training companies, vocational schools and the economy in our region – with the main task of preparing learners professionally and personally for working life.

My apprenticeship at the beginning of my career taught me firsthand how important the connection between theory and practice is. Had I chosen a different path before further training, I would likely have missed out on many job opportunities.

Vocational training is extremely important to me | it provides an excellent foundation for later professional life. As director of the BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen vocational training center, I am deeply committed to preparing, introducing, and supporting apprentices in a targeted manner for today’s job market with all its demands. As already mentioned, the young people should be able to succeed in their future professional lives by applying and continuously developing their acquired skills, both in terms of expertise and interpersonal abilities. I greatly value the collaboration with our apprentices and learn a great deal from them – I see what they are capable of when they can be inspired and motivated.

We must take care of young people, otherwise we will lack future talent – ​​it is our generation’s responsibility to nurture them. The diverse range of basic and advanced training offered by the various vocational schools and the adult education center at the BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen provides an ideal foundation for this – we offer learners more than just a vocational qualification.
