The 1st Laboratory Center of Komotini is an independent school unit that belongs to the D.D.E. of Rodopi Prefecture and is subordinate to the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports ( Y.PAI.THA ) and collaborates with the day EPAL, the evening EPAL and the P.D.I.E.K. of Komotini. The administration offices are located at Terma Sismanoglou in Komotini. The laboratories of the 1st EK are located in two different physical locations, in the building complex where it is co-located with the 1st EPAL of Komotini on Sismanoglou Street and in the building complex where it is co-located with the 2nd EPAL of Komotini on the Andronikou-Papandreou intersection.
