Europe’s labour market faces a significant mismatch: businesses report difficulty finding digitally skilled workers, whilst recent graduates often lack the practical competencies employers require. When businesses invest in bridging this gap, results vary considerably, whilst 66.7% provide digital training, only 37.2% of employees rate it as highly effective. A survey of 627 companies across Cyprus, Greece, Italy, France, and Belgium highlights the challenge: there remains a substantial gap between educational preparation, workplace training, and real-world demands.
The CONVERT project is transforming this landscape.
What makes CONVERT different:
- Industry-designed curriculum in high-demand areas: AI and Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Development, Internet of Things, Basic ICT skills
- Officially recognised micro-credentials that validate competencies employers actually need
- Free, flexible learning with expert mentoring from industry professionals
Who we prioritise: Women, young job seekers, long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, and those from migrant or low socio-economic backgrounds – groups facing the steepest barriers to digital careers.
Now piloting: We’re currently testing the programme with 100 participants across partner countries, gathering feedback on content relevance, platform usability, and learning outcomes.
